White Crane Tai Chi in Sheffield

Tai Chi is a very gentle form of exercise that is practiced by many Chinese people every day. The movements originate from Chinese martial arts, and are performed in a slow and controlled way, with a relaxed body and a meditative mind.

Tai Chi is suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness, and will not cause you to become 'out of breath', or your heart to race. You will not be pushed into any movements that will cause pain or discomfort, and will not be stretched beyond your own limits.

Tai Chi is designed to open the body's natural flow of energy, creating a feeling of warmth and well being that will heighten sensitivity and 're-charge the batteries!'.

The lessons will consist of a series of gentle 'Chi Kung' based exercises, followed by the 'Beijing 24' tai chi form.

Tai Chi should be practised in a calm, peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Your co-operation in achieving this positive and relaxed enviroment would be greatly appreciated. Please wear light, loose clothing and flat soled, soft shoes for the class (trainers are okay, but not ideal).

I hope you enjoy the class.
